Sara Lu (1985, Spain) is a Berlin-based performance artist and movement facilitator. Trained in ballet, contemporary dance and Butoh, she is continuously in search of authentic expression, building the bridges between inner experience and the realm of a physical matter. She sees embodiment as a form of channeling that completes (and returns to) the spiritual alignment. She deepens her practice and research with the studies in somatic awareness (Somatische Akademie). Growing up in the family of activists shaped her into an artist who advocates against inequalities and discrimination in both: art-making process and performance encounter.  Since 2016 she’s been working as an in-house choreographer in the integrative institution RambaZamba Theater.
